This information is common knowledge within the Five Nations, and well known within Khorvare.

Outlets

Cannith Manufactories and Offices can be found through the Five Nations and beyond. Although most citizens of the Nations will likely never have any direct business with Cannith, everyone knows the Gorgon Mark as one of quality when sold in their local shops.

Although other smaller businesses produce the same equipment as Cannith, non can match the scale and quality of the house. Due to the mass produced nature of Cannith Equipment, their gear has becomes somewhat of a stock look around Khorvare (for better or for worse). An adventurer looking to display a more “unique” look will need to either customise an existing Cannith Set or seek a local Smith to produce something unique.

Manufactories

All Capitals, Most Cities and Some Towns have Cannith Manufactories. These facilities mass produce items based on Cannith Blueprints.

House Cannith is generally a Wholesaler producing items and equipment, in bulk, to order for resellers, and bulk buyers. However, with enough money or power an individual or smaller group might be able to contract Cannith for smaller production. Most manufactories have the equipment and expertise to produce most Cannith items, but might require components or a Blueprint from a Cannith head office to do so.

Market Position

Prior to the Great War Cannith gained Market dominance by producing high quality and “high magic” goods which were a cut above anything a local artisan could produce. This gained the market dominance and a record as the best equipment in the Five Nations.

With the advent of the Great War the House Split its market position between its production bases. “Whiteheart” and “Cannith East”

Whiteheart Gear became the leading edge manufactory or rarer magical and non magical gear. Gear bearing the Gorgon and Whiteheart mark became known for its high quality and leading edge technology. Most Cannith magic Items along with top of the range equipment (Martial weapons, Plate armour) are almost always “Whiteheart” branded. The majority of production of Whiteheart gear has ceased since Whiteheart itself was destroyed on the Day of Mourning. A decent level of Whiteheart stock remains and some items are still manufactured (Common Magic gear, Martial Weapons and Armor). However the patterns for uncommon Magic items were lost with the Headquarters, and Cannith desperately seeks to reclaim its IP.

During the war footing Cannith East begun mass producing cheap but effective gear to meet the demands of the warning armies. This gear was of decent quality but with an emphasis of simplicity and easy manufacturing and transport. When the Great War ended Cannith was left holding vast quantities of Cannith East stock, and rapidly went through a process of rebranding it for civilian usage under the “East Face” brand as premium “Military Grade” equipment, even though it falls short of the latter mark. The vast quantities of this gear available has flooded the market making it hard to find much else other than Cannith produced gear.

Since the end of the War Cannith has been split with infighting due to the loss of its Patriarch. However, all factions of the house now fiercely defend its position. Competent Smiths are either hired or bought out. Any business attempting to build a base on producing equipment is dealt with swiftly and sometimes brutally. Cannith continues to maintain its position as the producer of the best gear and the largest quantifies, but it is not above quietly demonstrating some of that equipment to would be rivals.
