• Originally called “Mourners” as a mocking term, but has become accepted and used far more widely with no ill will
• Non monolithic group, many different opinions, many different backgrounds
  • Nobles, City dwellers, farmers, soldiers
  • Some Mourners where powerful and wealthy, and have lost it all. They are now learning to fend for themselves and are not very good at it
  • More capable of the Mourners such as Beleth ‘Bel’ Thiel use their talents to help others
  • Others are far more selfish
• Allowed to settle in The Tents by Count ir’Blis in 996YK
  • Might have just been using them as a buffer between the town and Droaam
• Majority live in the Vermishard within The Tents
• The Magistrate provides supplies
• Count ir’Blis has pledged land but says he must first aid the Brelish
  • Some small farmland has been given to the group
  • A few have managed to move into tenements in Oldtown

The Last War

• High tension between the Mourners and the Grizzlies
  • Until not long ago they looked at each other over battle lines
