Preface
Before building a character make sure you have read about The Tunstall Ranch as that explains some of the restrictions on characters in this campaign. You should also read a History of Quickstone
For this campaign we will be sticking to 5.24e books as much as possible. Specifically the following books are accepted by default:
- Players Handbook ‘24 (PHB’24)
- Eberron Forge of the Artificer (EFotA)
- Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone (FoEQ)
There are several questions in bold in this section. Please make sure you have some kind of answer for each ready for a character creation session.
Who Are you?
Farm & Family
- All Party members are members of the Tunstall Family, most likely a child of John and Eliona Tunstall
- When were you born? How old are you now? (Please make sure this works with the History of Quickstone)
- As a child of the Tunstall Family you are either Elf, Human or Khoravar: All present as Khoravar
- What lineage are you?
- Its likely you left home for at least a period of time before Eliona called you back to the ranch in 996YK
- Did you leave home? What did you do?
- **When did you answer Eliona’s call? How long have you been back?
- The Tunstall family have worked in Ranching for as long back as anyone can remember. Ranching it tough, and so are the Family. The Rancher’s word is Law, like the captain of a ship questioning anything they say is tantamount to treason. All the Children of the ranch follow this rule, and will listen to Eliona without hesitation.
- How have you taken to Ranching? Is it for you or did you rebel against the family business? If you did how did you use your talents to further the Farm?
- How well have you delt with the harsh nature of working for your parents on a Ranch?
- The Tunstall’s also believe in Family first. They stick together no matter what. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any friction though.
- How well do you get on with your siblings? Are there any you hate? or any you like more than others.
The Town
- Now you have returned to the town answering Eliona’s call you
- Which 3 People in Quickstone do you have a relationship with? (1 Should be a positive relationship, 1 should be a negative relationship, the third is your choice. If you want more that three, fill your boots.)
You
- What drives your character? What are they looking for in life?
- Has returning to the Ranch helped you in your goals? or is it only family loyalty and love of your Parent that has brough you back?
- What’s next for you? Are you staying with the ranch forever now? or will you go once duty doesn’t require you here?
Creating Or levelling a Character in Foundry
Foundry Character Leveling
What not to do
Do not use the default level up button on the character sheet:

Default Sheet
What to do
Currently in Foundry we use the “Charactermancer” to build new characters. To access this first create a blank actor in your folder under the actors tab (it can have a temporary name), and then open the character sheet. In the top right of the sheet you should see a “three dot” menu button which has Charactermancer under it:
The Charactermancer is a fairly self expiatory step by step process of creating a character. However, the first time you use it the filters for your options will not be set up correctly to match our table. Below is a tab by tab breakdown of each step in creating or levelling a character:
Charactermancer Sources
When you first open Charactermancer it will ask you to select your sources. You can add the following:
Link to original
- 5etools (default)
- Keith Baker; Exploring Eberron
- Keith Baker; Chronicles of Eberron
- Keith Baker; Frontiers of Eberron Quickstone (This is a WIP by someone, so picking from this might have issues you will need to monitor and resolve.)
