What to do
Currently in Foundry we use the “Charactermancer” to build new characters. To access this first create a blank actor in your folder under the actors tab (it can have a temporary name), and then open the character sheet. In the top right of the sheet you should see a “three dot” menu button which has Charactermancer under it:
The Charactermancer is a fairly self expiatory step by step process of creating a character. However, the first time you use it the filters for your options will not be set up correctly to match our table. Below is a tab by tab breakdown of each step in creating or levelling a character:
Charactermancer Sources
When you first open Charactermancer it will ask you to select your sources. You can add the following:
Link to original
- 5etools (default)
- Keith Baker; Exploring Eberron
- Keith Baker; Chronicles of Eberron
- Keith Baker; Frontiers of Eberron Quickstone (This is a WIP by someone, so picking from this might have issues you will need to monitor and resolve.)

Class Filters
Class and Sub Class Filter:

- [BGG] Bigby Presents Glory of the Giants
- [ERLW] Eberron Rising from the last war
- [FTD] Fizban’s treasury of Dragons
- [PHB] Player’s Handbook
- [TCE] Tasha’s cauldron of everything

Class Selection
You may choose any Class/Subclass from the Source Books list, with the exception of Fizbans Treasury of Dragons. Both the Monks Way of the Ascendant Dragon and Rangers Drakewarden from this book require discussion with the DM. These classes are heavily tied with Eberron’ s Dragons and Draconic Prophesy. We will need to ensure this is correctly reflected in your story and that it fits the story of the campaign.
Subclassed from Chronicles of Eberron are also accepted, but will require more effort from you, as they are currently not in 5e Tools, and thus non automated in Foundry.
Other Sub Classes from books outside the Source Books will be considered with discussion.

All the backgrounds in the Source Books list are acceptable. However I encourage the use of the “Customise your background: Add Feature(s) from another background” (PHB p125) to make a background that fits your character:

The following Backgrounds with Feats are available to players to select (but not use as a custom background) with GM agreement:

- Ruined [BMT]
